My Patents filed in Australia

Patents in Australia are recorded by a government department called IPAustralia, http://www.ipaustralia.gov.au. The patent data is stored on an IBM 370 system, which requires an IBM 3270 terminal to access data. The patent data is viewable on the internet via a 3270 emulator written in JAVA which you must download and run. Follow the instructions below to view my patent references:

  1. Download the IBM 3270 terminal emulator. Click here to begin the download. The download could take several minutes to complete. If you get strange messages, the download has failed. Some browsers do not have all of the necessary features to run the IBM 3270 terminal emulator. If this happens to you, then you are out of luck. Sorry.
  2. A large black window should appear on your screen. Use your mouse to move your cursor over to this screen. The screen should have IPAustralia login information. Press the ENTER key.
  3. A disclaimer screen should appear. Press the ENTER key.
  4. A menu screen should appear. You want the "patent administration" entry. Press the number "2" key, then press ENTER.
  5. Another menu screen appears. You want the "Patent Enquiry System" entry. Press the number "1", then press ENTER.
  6. A warning screen appears. Press ENTER.
  7. A search screen appears. Type "naylor;william", then press ENTER.
  8. A selection screen appears. Type "x" for each entry, then press ENTER.
  9. A selection screen appears. Type "s" for each entry, then press ENTER. Press ENTER to go through all patent screens. Not all patents matching "naylor;william" are mine. My patents show applicant or patentee "Canon Inc." or "Canon Kabushiki Kaisha" or "Canon Information Systems Research Australia".
